It's not who we are that holds us back, it's who we think we're not.

This being human is a guest house
Every morning a new arrival.
A joy, a depression, a meanness, some momentary awareness comes as an unexpected visitor.
Welcome and entertain them all!
Even if they are a crowd of sorrows, who violently sweep your house empty of its furniture, still treat each guest honorably.
He may be clearing you out for some new delight.
The dark thought, the shame, the malice, meet them at the door laughing, and invite them in.
Be grateful for whoever comes, because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.

Attitude
"The longer I live, the more I realize the
impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me,
is more important than facts.
It is more important than the past, than
education, than money, than circumstances, than
failures, than successes, than what other people
think or say or do. It is more important than
appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or
break a company...a church...a home.
The remarkable thing is we have a choice every
day regarding the attitude we will embrace
for that day. We cannot change our past...
we cannot change the fact that people will act in
a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable.
The only thing we can do is play on the one
string we have, and that is our attitude...
I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to
me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with
you...we are in charge of our Attitudes."

"Watch your thoughts they become words. Watch your words they become actions. Watch your actions they become habits. Watch your habits they become character. Watch your character it becomes your destiny."
What you need is already there,
All you want to be and can be lies within you.
Trust in your own abilities.
Trust in your own goodness.
Trust in your own strength.
And most importantly, trust in the universe;
It is already there--inside of you. |
